Super Chunky Sweater

Posted by Annie Altherr at 05:48 0 comments
And a sweater for Steve.

Made with Sirdar Indie
using
Sirdar Pattern # 9458

I did size 4 and for some reason 15 balls as suggested wasn't enough.
If you want to knit the same jumper buy 1 more ball than recommended to make sure you have enough.

Super Chunky Waistcoat

Waistcoat for myself.
Made with Hayfield Super Chunky with Wool.
using
Hayfield pattern # 9749

Lopi Cardigan

Posted by Annie Altherr at 05:38 0 comments
Cardigan for Steve made from Lettlopi yarn.

The pattern is in Lopi 28, Design 12 Hlekkur

I have to warn that i ran out of white, for the last 3 rounds. I had to replace it with a different colour of which i had plenty left over.

It's lovely to knit though. Be aware the yarn is 100% icelandic wool and tends to be a little itchy.
The patterns work fine with other aran weight yarns.

Rowan Mystery Afghan

Posted by Annie Altherr at 04:30 0 comments
Of course hubby wanted one too.

The pattern is from Rowan, the Pure Wool Worsted Mystery Afghan Knit-a-long.
I replaced the yarn with Stylecraft Simply Aran.
It works well with any worsted or aran yarn.

The pattern can be downloaded from here

I did the 17 colour version (i didn't add the border though)

Patch Sampler Throw

Posted by Annie Altherr at 04:18 0 comments
I actually never knitted a throw before. When i was finished i knew why.
5 colours in 5 patterns can become a little boring.
Still i love it and it keeps me warm in front of the TV.

I used James C. Brett Aztek Aran yarn which is absolutely gorgeous and i will get more for a jumper.
The pattern is free from here
